Krug Grande Cuvée is no ordinary Champagne. Each new release from the prestige Champagne house is a unique expression made by blending the product of a particular harvest with reserve wines from the house’s library. Based on the 2010 harvest and cellared for 7 years, the Krug Grande Cuvée 166ème édition includes 140 wines in its blend, from 13 different years going back to 1998. Full-flavoured and aromatic, it has notes of citrus, nougat, marzipan, honey and brioche.
Tasmania’s House of Lark is a world leader in whisky and its celebrated Rare Cask releases sell out fast. Finished in casks that have been seasoned with century-old Seppeltsfield Para Vintage Tawny, Lark Para 100 Rare Cask Single Malt Australian Whisky 700ml is a complex and character-filled single malt for the serious whisky collector.
Once this wine goes from our cellar to yours, it can be treasured for decades to come. Grange is one of the world’s best wines, and Penfolds Grange Shiraz GB 2018 continues the tradition (and the sky-high expert scores). When you get a chance to taste it, expect to enjoy hints of mushroom, liquorice, redcurrant and black forest trifle.
Want to start, or improve, your Japanese whisky collection? It’s no easy task with only limited stock available of these top-quality spirits from the House of Suntory. From a distillery founded in 1923, Yamazaki 12YO Single Malt Japanese Whisky is delicate and fruity, with pear, almond, plum, ginger and chamomile notes. The crisp-tasting, multi award winning Hakushu 12YO Single Malt Japanese Whisky is made using pure water sourced from the forests surrounding the distillery in the Southern Japanese Alps.
What is a Super Tuscan? This term came about when pioneering Italian winemakers in Chianti stepped away from the traditional techniques and grapes of their region, making bold new red wines with non-native varietals such as cabernet sauvignon. Tignanello was the first modern barrique-aged blend of sangiovese and cabernet and has been made to the same blend since 1982. Open a bottle of Antinori Tignanello IGT 2019 to find a silky, aromatic wine with hints of coffee and dark chocolate. West of Chianti in the coastal region of Livorno, Ornellaia is a sustainable producer of Super Tuscan wine. Its Ornellaia DOC 2018 is an elegant and savoury blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and petit verdot with citrus, herb and licorice notes.
